The house is not the whole property up here, and that is the difference from the rest of town. A parcel typically carries a front door, a side gate, a detached shop or garage, sometimes an RV pad with its own gate, and a pedestrian gate at the road. That is five or six locks, most of them outdoors, and the ones that fail are always the outdoor ones. Replacement is $112 to $279 and the finish matters more than it does on a door under a porch.
